Joyous Adds Beloved Charminar House Restaurant to its Platform

Portland, OR – Portland-Born Joyous has added another hometown favorite to its takeout and delivery platform: Charminar House in Portland.

Charminar House is known to residents of the Beaverton/Portland area as an absolutely delicious new authentic Indian restaurant. Local Google reviewer, Will Kane, had this to say about Charminar House: “A new place, definitely an upgrade. Nice menu, the wait after ordering was a bit long, but not bad. The food was delicious. Perfect spice level, and ample amounts. Definitely two meals. I will be back!” Another recent patron of Charminar House had this to say: “The food was delicious. Many gluten-free options, which are clearly marked. We look forward to trying more of their menu. Thank you, Hari!”

During tough economic times, Joyous is excited to bring its model of forever discounts for diners to another popular restaurant in the Portland area, where Joyous started several years ago!

Charminar House officially joins the Joyous Platform for takeout and delivery orders on Friday, August 5th, 2022.

About Charminar House:

Charminar House, formerly Bollywood Bites, has a new name, new menu, new staff, and new ownership. The service staff is friendly, great at helping you decide what to order if you have questions, and attentive to your table. The food is authentic Indian. The chef is a culinary school graduate and has developed every delicious recipe after years of practice. Portions are generous and beautiful. The decor is bright, clean, and comfortable. We have many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available.

About Joyous:

Joyous was founded in 2013 by Vara Prasad, an Indian immigrant to the United States who worked his whole life in technology. After a long career in tech, including a successful acquisition by IBM and a long stint at IBM, Prasad put his life savings on the line to create a way for local, independent restaurants to thrive with the same tools that the big national chains have. Joyous is 100% bootstrapped, having taken no capital from professional investors at this time.

Since 2013, Joyous has built a platform that allows restaurants to offer many features including takeout, delivery, and contactless dine-in. Still, these robust features—on par with DoorDash, UberEats and Grubhub—are just a small part of the automated marketing engine that Joyous starts for each independent restaurant that joins its platform. Joyous also offers its services to restaurants at a steep discount compared to the national delivery companies while at the same time offering them more. Please see our Restaurant Information Site to learn more about what Joyous can offer restaurants.

Joyous is committed to connecting community and commerce by helping local restaurants thrive while helping diners save on great meals.
