Joyous Adds Beloved Borikén Restaurant to its Platform
Beaverton, OR – Portland-Born Joyous has added another hometown favorite to its takeout and delivery platform: Borikén in Beaverton.
Borikén is known to residents of the Beaverton/Hillsboro/Portland area as an absolutely killer, authentic Puerto Rican restaurant. In fact, the restaurant’s name, Borikén, means the island of Puerto Rico in the native language of the island.
During tough economic times, Joyous is excited to bring its model of forever discounts for diners to another popular restaurant in the Beaverton area, where Joyous started several years ago!
Borikén officially joins the Joyous Platform for takeout and delivery orders on Monday, August 1st, 2022.

About Joyous:
Joyous was founded in 2013 by Vara Prasad, an Indian immigrant to the United States who worked his whole life in technology. After a long career in tech, including a successful acquisition by IBM and a long stint at IBM, Prasad put his life savings on the line to create a way for local, independent restaurants to thrive with the same tools that the big national chains have. Joyous is 100% bootstrapped, having taken no capital from professional investors at this time.
